MARISA BECERRA (Producer) is very proud to be a co-founder/producer of AdeRisa Productions. She is a successful business owner and entrepreneur who brings nearly twenty years of business management and accounting experience to the company. In addition, she has many years of volunteer work and activism focused on issues affecting people of color and LGBT communities. Her passion for the arts, progressive education and social/economic justice movements matches the vision of her ancestors. She has been the Executive Producer for all of the company's film projects since 2012.
ADELINA ANTHONY (Producer) is very proud to be a co-founder/producer of AdeRisa Productions. She brings over twenty years of professional experience making queer Xicana art and producing it for the stage. She works in various capacities to bring projects to fruition. KARLA LEGASPY (Co-Producer) comes to the team with many years of community and cultural activism, including teaching teatro to youth of color. Karla has starred in several films, most notably, Pura Lengua directed by Aurora Guerrero which premiered at Sundance in 2005. In Bruising for Besos she plays Yoli's mother, Trini. She is the writer/director/producer of the Latino Public Broadcasting New Media award-winning short film, Gold Star. The short film also won the People's Choice Award for the 2016 PBS Online Film Festival. She most recently stars in the upcoming short film, Amigas with Benefits. by Adelina Anthony, a 2016 Public Content Fund Winner for LPB. Karla is also the main programmer for the CineArte: A Latinx Queer & Art Festival in Los Angeles.
